Classes & Workshops
Each month we offer a brand new schedule of classes which open for registration on the 1st Thursday of the preceding month at 9am. Check out the classes on the card below, or scroll on to view the classes by level.
Beginner I Wheel Throwing
Come and learn the basics of wheel throwing in a relaxed small group setting. These lessons will focus on wheel control, hand positioning, centering clay, glaze application and the use of basic tools. By the end of this 4- week course, students will have created 4 functional pieces to take home. All materials will be provided. Shoes and clothes will get messy.
Beginner II Wheel Throwing
For students who have completed the Beginner I Wheel Throwing Course.
This course will allow the student to expound upon their basic throwing skills and will focus on centering larger amounts of clay, handling mugs, trimming, and glazing techniques. All materials will be provided. Shoes and clothes will get messy.
April Intermediate 2 Wheel Throwing: 6-Week Course
Mondays | 7:30PM
For students who have completed Intermediate 1 or have equivalent wheel experience.
This course is designed for potters ready to work with larger amounts of clay and more complex forms.
March Handbuilding 2
Saturdays | 9:30AM
For students who have completed Beginner 1 or have prior handbuilding experience.
Come and learn the oldest method of building with clay. These lessons will focus on advancing your basic hand-building techniques such as pinch, coil, and slab building. Students will gain a better understanding of the clay lifecycle by working on larger scale pieces with additive and subtractive processes.

Have you thought about taking pottery lessons before? Or wished there was a 1x class that could give you a taste of what it’s like before you commit to one of our 4-week classes? This 1x wheel throwing workshop is for people who have no experience but want a general introduction of what it’s like to throw pottery.
Skillbuild 1X Wheel Throwing Workshop: Will Mantor + Big Bowls
April 10th | 5:30-8PM
Join local potter, Will Mantor, as he guides students through the process of throwing a large bowl. Skillbuilding Workshops exist to provide continued learning for our members and local potters. These opportunities are a chance to be introduced to new techniques in a laid back, approachable, and encouraging environment.
