Open Studio is unguided studio time for people who have wheel throwing or hand building experience. No instruction will be available during these times. Prairie Pottery asks that no group instruction (for more than 1 other person) be given on the wheel to a group of people that accompany you to our studio.

Open Studio is $14 per hour.

(Everyone will be charged for a 1-hour minimum)

This includes: access to slab roller, wheels, bats, glazing station, water bowls, and firing up to 3 of your pieces.

Starter toolsets and clay are available for purchase. Only clay purchased at the studio is approved for use (this protects our kilns and equipment). Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Each potter is responsible for wrapping their pieces in plastic, placing on the appropriate shelf, trimming, and glazing.
